Craving something sweet? Try this healthy and high-protein motichoor laddoo recipe

Laddoos are a ubiquitous Indian dessert – spherically formed edible balls constituted of a wide range of elements reminiscent of besan or gram flour, boondi, dry fruits, desiccated coconut and so forth and are popularly relished across the country.

Served as non secular choices as properly, laddoos are generally referred to as ‘naroo’ in Bengali and ‘laroo’ in Assamese. Whereas scrumptious to eat as a snack or submit a heavy meal, laddoos are made with calorie-rich ingredients reminiscent of ghee and sugar syrups.

Amaranth seeds, generally referred to as Rajgira, are a powerhouse of nutrients and protein, in response to the professional. Arijita talked about that amaranth is an “glorious supply of fibre, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese and supply of calcium, zinc, copper, selenium, vitamin B6 and folate.”

She emphasised that amaranth seeds “haven't any style of their very own” and can simply soak up any flavour that you could be add to the recipe.

*Roast 1 cup of amaranth seeds for five minutes on a low flame.

*Add 2 cups of water to the combination after the seeds are toasted.

*Cowl and prepare dinner till water is absolutely absorbed from the mixture.

*Subsequent, add 2 crushed cardamom pods to the combination and maintain apart to chill down.

*Calmly fry a collection of dry fruits (in response to choice) and seeds in 1 tbsp of ghee till brown.

*Add the boiled amaranth to the dry fruits, 1/3 cup jaggery powder( depends upon how candy you want) and maintain apart.

Whereas these amaranth motichoor laddoos don’t resemble the brilliant, orange color of our standard motichoor laddoos, they're devoid of meals colouring and pointless energy.
