Sam Mannering/Stuff

Sam Mannering's fast and straightforward fish curry is an efficient brief week dinner choice.

It’s true that normally, “curry from scratch”, “fast” and “easy” don’t flip up in the identical sentence, however I’m right here with the exception to the rule. This strong meal will take only a hair over a half hour of your time, and requires solely bog-standard spice rack spices to make it scrumptious.

Contemporary fish, sadly, shouldn't be the most cost effective protein round. Whereas the remainder of this dish is kind of cheap – you could nicely have the opposite components already within the kitchen – if contemporary fish is out of attain, I promise to not inform when you go for frozen. You would additionally swap the fish for diced rooster (although it'll want extra cooking, so prepare dinner it for a couple of minutes between the onion and tomato), or, when you’d like a vegan curry, for cauliflower, potatoes, or actually another root vegetable; they’re an excellent match with turmeric.

I might serve this curry with basmati rice. Put it on a again burner once you begin the curry and it'll prepare dinner in about the identical period of time.
