HOUSTON'S FUTURE: Here's what Washington Avenue could look like

Homestead Kitchen & Bar opened recently in the Heights, in line with the Houston Chronicle's Greg Morago. 

Serving up all-day breakfast, the eatery is bound to fill the breakfast-for-any-meal void that different favorites like Down Home, Home of Pies or IHOP may need left. The menu will serve up "Texas, Southern, Cajun and Tex-Mex traditions," in line with Morago.

Chef Ben Berg opened up this Uptown restaurant Thursday. 

It encompasses a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu filled with American dishes, in line with CultureMap's Eric Sandler. It can additionally serve grab-and-go meals for these on-the-run, Sandler reported.
